Football picks

No rhyme or reason.
But 10-0 is perfection — again. And it improved my record to 62-11.
What does it mean? Well I'm safe and smart, but certainly not stupid.
Gilroy at North Salinas: The Mustangs defense was pushed around last week by Palma. Guess what? North Salinas is a more physical offensive unit. Grinding it out on the ground is the Vikings speciality. But keeping Gilroy's offense off the field only prolongs the inevitable. Gilroy.
Palma at San Benito: The last two games have been a physical battle for Palma. This will be no different. The Balers will put the ball in the air. So will the Chieftains. Plus they can run the ball. Palma.
Alvarez at Alisal: Still yearning for their first ever TCAL win, the Eagles have closed the gap among some of their league rivals. Perhaps in time, just not this year. Alisal.
Watsonville at Seaside: I can see a Scotts Valley-Seaside CCS Small Division finals matchup brewing in four weeks. Seaside.
Monterey at North County: The Swamp in North County is a difficult place to play. Monterey has never played well on Saturday's. This has the makings of an upset. Monterey.
Soledad at Carmel: This will be nothing more than a tune-up for Carmel before preparing to face Pacific Grove for an MTAL title, assuming the Breakers take care of business tonight. Carmel.
King City at Pacific Grove: Looking ahead to Carmel isn't advised. This is King City's playoff game. Now would be a good time to make a statement: King City.
Gonzales at Stevenson: If there's one program that can sympathize with Stevenson and its low numbers this fall, it is Gonzales, who won't be able to field a JV team this week. Gonzales.
