Stallworth debacle

Upon further review, Greenfield may have to argue its case to receive a forfeit win over Stallworth of Stockton, who had its football season suspended late Wednesday.
While Monterey will officially be notified Monday that it will receive a forfeit win after Stallworth used ineligible players in a 29-12 win over the Toreadores, Greenfield wasn't slated to play them until Nov. 4.
Central Coast Section assistant commissioner Duane Morgan says it'll likely be looked upon as a no contest, since the game was never held.
However, because the Bruins are in a playoff chase, they can argue that this game could have had implications on their playoff fate.
I think they've got a good case, although I question whether they would have played the game anyway.
