Hard to believe that basketball season runs its first drills Saturday.
While predictions may be a bit premature, I'm still going to make them.
No question, Pacific Grove defends its title in the MTAL, Palma in the TCAL. And Monterey shocks the world in the MBL. In fact, Monterey will be this years version of North Salinas in terms of improvement.
As for the girls, North Salinas has four starters back. Untouchable in the TCAL. After two straight years of failing to knock off Stevenson in the MTAL, Santa Catalina puts the past in the rear view mirror. Seaside will be difficult to beat in the MBL. This years North County in terms of a surprise team will be Monterey.
