MBL baseball

Will there be a changing of the guard in the MBL?
Depends on what you really believe when glancing at non-league records.
Here's what one non-expert thinks.
1. North County: Sweeping a tournament in Honolulu, Hawaii has the Condors primed to end Monterey's run in the MBL.
2. Monterey: Sure the Toreadores struggled with a 2-5 non-league record. But Lucas Herbst will be back for league. And the caliber of competition Monterey faced in the preseason was as good as it gets.
3. Pajaro Valley: Why not? It's an up and coming program in a weak league.
4. Seaside: I was all set to jump on the Spartans bandwagon when they got off to a 5-0 start. Then they got swept by Stevenson.
5. Monte Vista: Little is known about Monte Vista, which makes them scary,
6. Watsonville: With nearly 3,000 kids on campus, you would think there would be a few more baseball players.
