Why do parents feel it's alright for their kids to skip practice -- or even a event during the Easter Break? It certainly would not happen during fooball season.
More scheduling conflicts from home seem to creep up in the spring than in the fall or winter sports seasons. Sure the weather is better. But you the athlete made a commitment to the team.
When you commit to something, it's for the entire season. Sure it's a sacrifice. And that starts at home. If you're not willing to make that commitment or parents feel a vacation is more important, don't put the uniform on.
