Saturday's game
Valley Christian Academy (2-0) vs. Trinity (1-2) at Pacific Grove, 2 p.m.
In two games, the Lions are averaging 66 points a game, producing 65 in a 37 point win over Laton last week.
Trinity opened its season with a 58-12 win over Laton, but has dropped its last two games, in which it was outscored in the fourth quarter in both setbacks.
It should be noted that the two losses Trinity has suffered this year are to two teams a combined 6-0 on the season.
Chase Perez is coming off a rare feat in which he tossed two touchdown passes, caught a touchdown pass and rushed for a touchdown for the Warriors, accounting for over 200 yards in offense.
Cameron Hill has caught three touchdown passes in his last two games for Trinity, Nick Furman has been among the team leaders in tackles.
Special teams were a thorn in the Warriors side in a Week 2 loss. Last week turnovers were crippling as an interception late in the game sealed their fate.
Last year the Lions outscored Trinity 58-42 in the first ever meeting. Reestablishing the ground game starts with Alex Cabanilla and a trio of offensive lineman.
