Trinity-St. Michael's Prep football

Friday's game
Trinity (1-1) at St. Michael's Prep, Silverado (2-0), 3:15 p.m.
Special teams were a thorn in the Warriors side last week, as they gave up a kickoff return for six and a safety off a bad snap on a punt in a 50-36 loss.
Trinity actually held a 36-34 lead in the fourth quarter before Coast Union ran off the games last 12 points.
The Archangles have outscored their first two opponents 81-30 in jumping out to a 2-0 start for the second straight season. Trinity has produced 94 points in two games.
Last fall the southern California program made a 20-14 halftime lead stand up, shutting out Trinity in the second half.
Chase Perez has tossed three touchdown passes and rushed for four this year for Trinity, while Alex Cabanilla has rushed for five touchdowns and over 200 yards.
The return last week of 6-foot-4 Cameron Hill gives Perez another target on the outside, as well as a pass rusher on defense.
If Trinity wants to be a contender this fall, they have to find a way to win on the road. Last season it was just 1-4 on the road.
