Seaside football

 Here comes the criticism.
Who have the 4-0 Spartans played?
Why is it so important to beat down a team having success instead of applauding them?
Seaisde was 1-9 last year with virtually the some core. Nothing's changed. There's no transfers. Just a blue collar work ethic -- and pride from 32 players.
I get it. The teams Seaside have faced through four games are a combined 0-15.
Yet, lets peak back a bit. One was a defending state champion in Bishop O'Dowd. Christopher was a playoff team last year that humbled Seaside 34-19.
Could it possibly be that just maybe Seaside is pretty good this year?
The Spartans are far from perfect. Three penalties called away from plays whipped out touchdowns on Friday. That's not the first time that has occurred this year.
So here come the arguments. Why isn't Seaside in the Gabilan Division this season? I suppose that's valid, accept no one saw this coming.
And with a nucleus of seniors this fall, will it be sustainable after this season? There are only 72 kids in the entire program.
For now lets remain in the moment. This wasn't a bad non-league schedule. Well, Seaside should not have played Marina.
The Spartans earned this. The defense is reincarnating the past with its physicality. The offensive line might be one of the best in the section. Skeptics are only fueling their fire.
