Gunn-Marina football

Friday's game
Gunn (3-0) vs. Marina (0-3) at MPC, 6 p.m.
The Mariners are limping into this game, having been shutout twice, while absorbing their share of injuries through the first three weeks.
Now comes Gunn of Palo Alto, who is undefeated, having defeated James Lick 42-0 two weeks ago. Last week Marina fell 39-0 to James Lick.
Coming off a 65-point eruption last week over Yebra Buena, the Titans are averaging over 53 points a game.
The Titans like to run the ball. In fact, they're daring you to stop it, with three players over 200 yards rushing this fall. Of their five completions, two have been for 40 yards or longer.
Establishing an offense has been a problem for Marina, who has scored just 20 points all fall, or what Gunn has achieved in one quarter.
What crippled the Mariners last week was five turnovers. Despite their offensive deficiencies, they were only down by 12 at the half.
There were bright spots for the Mariners, such as Levi Little registering two sacks, Michael Barrera picking off a pass and Exavier Wells blocking a kick. The offense has got to find its rhythm.
