Playing as a true freshman on a nationally ranked volleyball team, Taylor Rose appeared in 58 sets last year for the Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo team.
Listed as a libero and defensive specialist, the 5-foot-8 sophomore was sixth on the team in service aces (11) and sixth in digs, recording a college career best of seven digs against Wichita State.
Rose, who set a school record for kills while at Salinas High, and was The Herald's Volleyball Player of the Year in 2017, is expected to see more time in the back row this fall for the Mustangs.
