North Salinas-North County football

Friday's game
North Salinas (0-0) at North County (0-0), 7:30 p.m.
Two touchdowns in the fourth quarter, the last coming with 1:53 left in the game, capped a 12-0 run, lifting the Condors past North Salinas in last year's season opener.
The Vikings did recover, rattling off three straight wins. Yet, that setback likely cost them a berth in the postseason.
Making amends isn't the objective for North Salinas, who instead is looking to build of off last year's 50-point uprising in the season final.
Running behind a mammoth wall of linemen, running back Jake Sotelo provides some explosiveness in the backfield for the Vikings.
With the Condors desire to ground and pound as well, this could be one of the fastest played games of the night.
Quarterback Brandon Ducusin is built like a linebacker -- which he is on defense -- having led North County in rushing last fall, while throwing for 700 yards.
A number that will never escape the mind of Condors head coach Sean Gomes is 21, as the program is 12-0 when scoring 21 or more points in the last four years -- 1-27 when they don't.
