No. 12 Sacred Heart Cathedral (17-11) vs. No. 1 Monterey (20-9) at Washington Park, Santa Clara, 7 p.m.
 Undefeated in their last 15 games on the field, the Gabilan Division champion Toreadores are having a magical season after an 0-5 non-league start.
 Stevie Bull and Chas Brown are a combined 15-5 this season on the mound with earned run averages of 2.18 or lower. Both will be available.
 Michael Carnazzo is hitting a team high .552 with four homers, having scored 42 runs while Michael Mugan has driven in 27 runs.
 Pitching has been a strength for the Fightin Irish, who have a 2.88 team earned run average, limiting Willow Glen to one run in their quarterfinal win.
 Sacred Heart is a gap hitting team with 44 doubles and 12 triples this spring. Freshman Lucas Kelly is hitting a team high .408, having knocked in 21 runs. Keshawn Ogans has scored 31 runs.
The Figthin Irish haven't won a section title since 1998. Monterey's last section title came eight years ago.
