Trinity-Anzar football

Saturday's game
Trinity (3-5) at Anzar (4-4), 7 p.m.
Both teams sit in a tie for second in the Pacific Coast League standings.
Last year the Warriors beat Anzar twice in two weeks, posting a 60-26 regular season finale win, and a 30-6 decision a week later in a bowl game for 8-man football.
Trinity has won the last seven meetings between the only two area 8-man football teams.
The Hawks have given up 50 or more points three times this fall, including 84 in a season opening loss to state power Laton.
The Warriors saw their three-game winning streak stopped last week, giving up a season high 58 in a loss to Valley Christian Academy of Santa Maria.
Quarterback Nick Furman has tossed eight touchdown passes in his last two games for Trinity, with five going to Cameron Hill.
Tailback Alex Cabanilia went over 100 yards rushing for the third straight game last week for Trinity while Anton Guerra produced a touchdown in his third consecutive game.
Five turnovers last Thursday provided short fields for the opposition and a long day for the Warriors defense, as Valley Christian erased a 14-point deficit with 36 unanswered points.
