Friday's game
Soledad (0-7) at Scotts Valley (4-4), 7:30 p.m.
Two teams that faced each other twice last year - one that decided a league title, and the other in the playoffs, are now playing for pride.
The Aztecs just haven't discovered their identity this season after three straight playoff appearances, 25 wins, two leagues title and one section title.
Scotts Valley still has a shot at the postseason if it can run the table, having snapped a three-game losing streak last week after beating Watsonville.
Quarterback Kyle Rajala has either rushed or thrown for 10 touchdowns this year for the Falcons, while four players have rushed for over 200 yards.
Soledad has had some tough luck this fall, dropping two games by a combined three points. Failure to take care of the ball (15 turnovers) has crippled them.
Gabriel Florez has thrown for over 1,000 yards this fall for the Aztecs. The lack of a running game, though, has grounded the offense.
Soledad's defense, the cornerstone of its success the last three seasons, has allowed three opponents over 40 points. The last time it gave up 40 plus points was in 2014.
