Santa Catalina water polo

If the Cougars have aspirations of gathering at least a share of the Mission Division title, it has to beat Gilroy today in what will provide a playoff type setting.
Santa Catalina's only league setback was administered by the undefeated Mustangs back on Sept. 13 in Gilroy.
Since then the Cougars have outscored seven league opponents 118-29 to remain one game behind Gilroy.
The Mustangs have averaged 23.5 goals a match in their last five routes of Mission Division rivals, and are 16-2 overall this fall.
Abbey Fisher is closing in on 100 goals for Santa Catalina while freshman Whitney Allen has given the team a reliable second option at the two-meter spot.
Allen is also among the team leaders in steals with sophomore Emma Underdown, who leads the team in steals and assists this fall for the Cougars.
Experience was a factor in the teams first meeting as Santa Catalina had played just twice while the Mustangs had five games under their belt in a 16-8 win.
