It's for first place and a potential title in the Mission Division when the Trojans cross Natividad Road to face Alvarez.
If the meeting among co-leaders is anything like the first match -- a five set thriller - buckle up for a intense night.
Alvarez had the distinction of snapping the Trojans eight-game winning streak back on Sept. 20, but suffered a setback to Seaside eight days ago to create this showdown.
The Trojans have not fallen since their loss to Alvarez, rattling off 10 straight wins, eight by sweeps, including four matches in a tournament.
Mariam Ochoa and America Mendez have continued to feed the ball to an assortment of hitters at the net, including Samantha Montelongo, who had 16 kills in the first matchup with the Eagles.
Defensively, Montelongo and Destiney Plascencia has created havoc at the net while Maria Ochoa, Yesenia Tijerina and Nayeli Navarro have combined for 500 plus digs.
The Eagles have turned to Aaliyah Foster and Karmyn Anderson all season for power at the net. The pair have fed off of sets all season from Metzly Anguiano.
Defensively, Foster has been a disruptive force in the middle of the front row while Asley Noble is coming off a 33 dig effort, the same total she compiled against Alisal in the first meeting.
