Saturday's game
St. Michael's Prep, Silverado (3-0) vs. Trinity (0-3) at Pacific Grove High, 2 p.m.
Once again Trinity finds itself lined up against an opponent that comes into the game undefeated. In fact, the three opponents it has faced so far are a combined 9-2.
The Archangels are coming off a 60 point eruption, having outscored three opponents 136-54. The three wins equal last year's entire win total.
Trinity is still trying to put the right combinations together on offense. Two different quarterbacks have thrown touchdown passes.
Getting Cameron Hill the ball is critical. He had two touchdown catches two weeks ago and caught a pass that set up the Warriors only touchdown in a Week 1 loss to state ranked Rincon Valley.
While Trinity has produced 41 points in three games, that's what its average was per game in each of the last two seasons -- 41.2 to be exact.
If the Warriors can establish a ground game, it will only enhance their passing attack, and provide a little more rest for a defense that has spent a lot of time on the field this year.
