Scotts Valley (3-1) at Carmel (3-0), 2 p.m.
The Padres will be the last team to open up their home season. Of course, the road hasn't been a bad spot, averaging an even 50 points a game this fall.
What has been impressive is how strong Carmel has played in the third quarter, having yet to allow a point.
Robert Brown and Zach DeZee have been defensive demons, with Brown recording five sacks, while Lavar Edwards has picked off three passes in three games.
Over a third of the Paders points have come in the first quarter, as they have outscored teams 59-13 in the opening 12 minutes.
Kai Lee has thrown for over 700 yards and 10 touchdowns, with just one interception in 74 attempts. Rashaan Ward has four touchdown catches, averaging over 21 yards a catch.
While Carmel has twice as many yards threw the air as opposed to the ground, Dakota Mornhinweg is coming off a 228 yard rushing performance.
Scotts Valley has outscored its last two opponents 52-18. Three different running backs have rushed for over 100 yards this year, including Jamesley Giblin's 197 yard effort.
Don't look for the Falcons to put the ball in the air 20 times. But Kyle Rajala has been effective when called upon, completing nearly 70 percent of his passes in the teams three wins.
Last fall Scotts Valley produced 14 points in the second half in a 21-7 win over Carmel. The year before it fell 22-21 in overtime on a failed two-point conversation.
