Forgive the Vikings if there is a comfort zone in playing at Alvarez, where they earned their first win of the season last week in beating Mountain View.
Of course, North Salinas will return this week on the visitors side with hopes of avenging last year's 26-14 road loss to the Eagles.
Matt Morales has had a pair of big games in his return to North Salinas after spending last season in King City, rushing for over 100 yards and scoring a touchdown in each game.
Anchored by Steve Mathisen and Joe Zazueta, last week's shutout for the Vikings was their first in 23 games.
Alvarez has struggled offensively in learning a new system, mustering just one first half touchdown, having been outscored 34-7 in the first 24 minutes. Defensively it has forced five turnovers.
Dating back to 2016, four of the Eagles last five wins have come at home They have not started a season 0-3 since 2011.
