A decision not to redshirt Malik Jeter last fall meant getting on the field for Sacramento State’s final three football games.
The experience has helped the former Seaside High standout in his development as a defensive back as Jeter opened the season with three solo tackles in the Hornets season opening win.
In three games last year, Jeter recorded six tackles, including five solo. Jeter was a two-time member of The Herald’s All-County football team.
