Jennifer Lane has gotten off to a sizzling start for the Willamette University volleyball team, leading them in blocks while compiling 41 kills in the teams first eight matches.
Lane’s 19 blocks are just 12 shy of her season best from last season, in which she played in 22 matches. The 5-foot-11 junior is already more than halfway to last year’s kill total of 81, and is second on the team in service aces with six.
In 54 career matches for the Bearcats, the outside hitter has 283 kills, 90 blocks and 34 service aces.
Lane helped Notre Dame to a pair of Central Coast Section Divisional titles, reaching the State Northern California semifinals. She was a two-time member of The Herald’s All-County Volleyball team.
