Nikki DeSerpa has achieved another milestone, going over 700 kills for her collegiate career for the Marist University volleyball team.
A first team all Metro Atlantic Association Conference selection last fall, the 6-foot DeSerpa has 720 career kills, including a team high 155 kills through 13 matches this fall.
The junior is also second on the Red Foxes in digs (130) and service aces (15). DeSerpa is on pace to break both her season bests in both categories.
DeSpera, who led Notre Dame High to a pair of Central Coast Section divisional titles, currently has 437 career digs and 64 service aces for Marist, who is undefeated in conference play.
Teammate and Santa Catalina graduate McKinley Fox is working her way into the mix as a setter for the Red Foxes, compiling 79 assists and 32 digs in 12 matches.
Fox shattered the career assists record at Santa Catalina, helping the program to a pair of CCS titles and two State Northern California divisional semifinal appearances.
Both DeSerpa and Fox are former Herald Volleyball Players of the Year.
