Cornerstone Christian-Trinity football

Saturday's game
Cornerstone Christian (3-0) vs. Trinity Christian (0-2) at Pacific Grove High, 2 p.m.
Once again the Warriors find themselves facing a state ranked program that is undefeated this season in Cornerstone Christian of Antioch.
Ranked No. 14 in the state in eight-man football, the Cougars have outscored opponents 132-36 this year, posting a 30-16 win over Rincon Valley last week.
Trinity has had an extra week to gear up for Cornerstone, having given No. 9 Laton a battle before falling 34-20 two weeks ago.
The Cougars have jumped out on teams early, outscoring opponents 74-6 in the first half. Half the points they have allowed this year have come in the fourth quarter.
Nick Furman tossed three touchdown passes in Trinity's last game, two going to Cameron Hill. The pair have connected three times for touchdowns this season.
Turnovers have been a sore spot for the Warriors. Two miscues in their last game produced 14 points for the opponent in a 14 point loss to Laton.
Trinity's defense has created three turnovers this year, with Hill recovering a fumble and intercepting a pass. This is the second of four straight home games for the Warriors.
