Coming off the programs first ever shutout in 77 career games, the Mariners are looking to become the first team in school history to start a season 2-0.
Dating back to 2016, Lynbrook has dropped 12 straight games, including a 47-0 season opening loss to Balboa last Friday.
During its drought, Lynbrook has given up 40 or more points eight times, allowing 478 points last fall.
Going back to its record setting finish last year, Marina shares the longest current winning streak of any program in the county with Carmel at five.
Quarterback Michael Barrera is coming off a career high four touchdown effort for Marina, with all four scoring strikes going to Ernie Guevara.
Since being held without a touchdown for three straight games last year, the Mariners have produced 243 points in their last five.
Last fall Marina held on for 21-12 win over Lynbrook.
