CSU-Monterey Bay's athletic programs produced 29 NCAA Division II Academic Achievement award winners for the 2017-18 school year.
To be considered for the award, athletes must compile a 3.5 grade point average over a two-year full schedule period.
Ten of the Otters 13 intercollegiate sports programs had at least one academic award winner, with the volleyball team producing seven.
Among them were Whitney Hirst, Paige Burrell, Maddy Underwood, Ala Olson, Erica Chapa, Chandler McKean and Ashlynne Armstrong.
The women's cross country and track and field programs were represented by Jordan Allen, Allison Crowley, Lily Vargas and Natalie Vaughn.
Representing the women's golf team were Brooke Baumgardner, Blake Haverty, Linnea Karlsson and Emma Lundvall.
The conference champion baseball team saw Kyle Czaplak, A.C. Nunez and Ryan Winkler achieve excellence in the classroom, as did Julia Garcia, Courtney Hennings and Rosalia Keirns in softball.
Rounding out the list were Michael Maul and Marco Rangel in men's soccer; Madison Aguirre and Jenna Viss in women's soccer, Christine Golfo and Jordana Price in women's basketball; Callum Carlstrom in men's golf, and Lucy Gates in women's water polo.
