Marc Flores

Marc Flores is putting up all star caliber numbers in the first half of the year for the Rieleros de Aguascalientes baseball team in the Mexican League.

Throught 32 games, the 6-foot-5 left-handed swinging Flores is hitting .325 with six home runs and 22 runs batted in. Of his 25 hits, 13 have gone for extra bases this season. He’s also scored 16 runs.

Originally drafted in the 30th round four years ago by the Chicago White Sox, Flores has spent the last three years playing independent baseball, hitting .272 in 2016 for Joilet, with a career high 12 homers.

A all-leaguer in football, basketball and baseball while at King City High, Flores earned all-state honors in baseball at Hartnell College before earning a scholarship to the University of Hawaii.
