If Northgate has an advantage, it's that it played just five days ago, falling in the North Coast Section finals to Acalanes.
A member of the Diablo Foothill League in the NCS, the Broncos have just two seniors on the roster this spring.
Carmel, who has won a school record 23 straight matches, will have gone 10 days between games since beating Harker in five sets for its first CCS Division III volleyball title.
Charlie DeLapa has compiled over 600 assists for the Padres, with Keegan Forrester recording over 300 kills and Cole Dickman and Ben Ariola both over 100.
Aidan Westerman has come up big in the postseason for Carmel, along with Palmer Bajari and libero Joaquin Buenrostro.
The Broncos are just 4-3 in their last seven matches.
