Sophia Lazzerini

 Sophia Lazzerini is inching her way up Sonoma State's all-time track and field list in the discus, shot put and hammer this spring.
 A Central Coast Section finalist last year in the shot put for Notre Dame, Lazzerini set personal bests in all three events last week.
 The freshman uncorked the shot 37-feet-7 1/4, unleashed the discus 116-6, and let go of the hammer 120-8.
 She will compete on May 3 in the California Collegiate Athletic Association championships in Turlock.
 Lazzerini set the school record in the shot put at Notre Dame last spring.
