Pacific Grove multi-sport athlete Kulaea Tulua will focus on basketball in college, signing a letter-of-intent to attend Occidental College in southern California.
The 5-foot-8 Tulua is averaging just under 12 points a game this winter for the Breakers, and is among the team leaders in rebounds and steals.
She will likely be moved to an off-guard at Occidental, who plays in the Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference.
It’s possible that Tulua could also run track at Occidental, where she is the top returning 200 meter sprinter this spring in the Mission Trail Athletic League.
