Breakout game: King City graduate Aly Carroll drops in a season high 20 points as MPC evens its conference record at 1-1 with a win over De Anza in women's hoops.
Streaks: Palma makes it 37 straight league basketball wins. Alisal has won 25 straight league games. Pacific Grove has rattled off nine straight league wins. Stevenson has won nine straight league games in girls hoops.
Notable marks: Kulaea Tulua has 17 points and 11 steals for Pacific Grove. Brooke Oleson scores two goals and assists on another for Salinas. Matthew Briscoe scores 26 points for Seaside. Adriano Betancourt has 25 for Alisal. Keith Johnson and Rico Vega both have double-doubles for North Salinas.
