Did quarterback David Fales do enough to earn an opportunity to play in the NFL next season for someone?
After three years of floating around between practice squads and active rosters for the Bears and Ravens, Fales got his first extensive playing time in an NFL regular season game in the Dolphins season finale on Dec. 31, nearly knocking Buffalo out of the playoffs.
Fales completed 29-of-42 attempts for 265 yards, throwing his first NFL touchdown pass in a 22-16 setback to the Bills. He also rushed for a touchdown.
The former Palma High and Monterey Peninsula College quarterback was released before the start of the season by the Dolphins for the fourth time in his NFL career, then resigned nine weeks into the year.
A former sixth round draft choice out of San Jose State, the 27-year-old Fales finished with an 84 quarterback rating.

I've watched David during and since his College days at San Jose State. He may not have the size but is very smart with the ball and can win games. He is the real deal, just needs a chance. Coming in for his first pro game with some real reps, he did a commendable job. David is best when under pressure which is not something you see in all QB;s. In my opinion, he is smarter (not as physical) than David Carr. Just look at the SJSU / Fresno game in his senior year for evidence....
