No player on the University of Pacific-Oregon men’s basketball team has improved more this winter than Chris Evans, who has played in all 15 games this season.
The 6-foot-2 senior guard is fifth on the team in minutes played and in scoring at 8.1 points a game. Last year Evans averaged 2.5 points.
The former Seaside High and Monterey Peninsula College standout is second on the team in assists at 2.1, third in rebounds at 4.5, and third in steals 1.0.
Evans was The Herald’s Basketball Player of the Year in 2013, leading Seaside into the postseason. In 2016, he helped MPC to an 18 win season and a spot in the Northern California semifinals.
