All star football game

If I had to guess, one team is going to air it out while the other is looking to grind out yards on the ground in the 33rd Central Coast All Star football game tonight at Rabobank.
While the rosters were divided up to be balanced, the National Football Foundation roster has a pair of dynamic running backs in DeMarcus Hawkins of Seaside and Christian Rodriguez of Gilroy.
Operation Give Back will showcase a pair of strong armed quarterbacks in Salinas' Brett Reade and Monte Vista's Sean White.
Hawkins, who is being pursued by a handful of Division I programs as a defensive end, rushed for nearly 1,500 yards and 23 touchdowns last year.
Rodriguez, quietly chased a 1,000 yard rushing season as the No. 2 option for the CCS Division V champion and 13-0 Mustangs, while rushing for 16 touchdowns.
In addition, quarterback Andrew Marquez of Alisal rushed for over 1,000 yards last season. Do not discount the arm of Soledad's Robbie Santa Ana, who set a school record for touchdown passes.
While Reade threw for nearly 1,800 yards for CCS Open DI champion Salinas, he also rushed for over 1,000 yards, accounting for 32 touchdowns.
It won't hurt that teammate Jeff Weimer and his 56 catches will flank one side for Reade, while North Salinas' Tim Hunter will be on the other.
Reade is a threat to run the ball anytime he touches it. He also has Marina's Fermin Gabot, Alvarez's Mike Ramirez and Salinas teammate Ritchie Cerda to hand it too.
Defenses' have traditionally dominated this event and both teams have no shortage of demons on the defensive side as Salinas linebacker Drew Schuler lines up for Operation Give Back.
Hawkins will be a part of  the National Football Foundation defense, as well as MTAL co Defensive Player of the Year Clay Barbree of King City and Seaside's Daniel Sayre, who had 12 picks over the last two years -- seven for pick six's.
