Saturday morning thoughts

Streaks: Seaside is unbeaten in six boys soccer matches after a 4-0 win over Christopher, improving to 5-0-1 this winter.
Nailbitter: In what could be a preview of the Pacific Division title chase in girls basketball, Alvarez hangs on for a 52-50 win over Notre Dame in the North Salinas Tournament.
Second half surge: Down 25-22 at halftime, Palma uses a big third quarter to post a 56-52 win over Soquel and advance to the finals of the Scattini Tournament.
Rebound: Carmel bounces back from an 18 point loss Thursday with a 49 point win to advance to the consolation round of the Carmel Tournament.
Numbers: Carmel freshman J.T. Bryne scores 31 points. Daja Mitchell has 24 points and 10 boards for Seaside's girls basketball team. Isaiah Orozco has 17 points for Salinas.
