Ronnie Turner

Former Seaside High and Hartnell College receiver Ronnie Turner will be taking part in the Bahamas Bowl for the University of Alabama Birmingham.

The program, which returned this year after being dropped in 2016, finished the season 8-4, going 6-2 in conference. The Blazers went 4-1 down the stretch, with the one loss coming from Florida.

The 6-foot-4 Turner was third on the team in receptions this year with 24 for 195 yards and a touchdown, averaging 8.1 yards a reception.

Turner set career records at Hartnell, catching 93 passes for 1,674 yards and 22 touchdowns in just 15 games. His older brother Michael, is a backup quarterback for the Blazers.
