Eduardo Orozco

Eduardo Orozco is taking his track and field talents next spring to the University of Alaska-Anchorage after accepting a scholarship offer.

The former Hartnell College distance ace won the state 1,500 meter title last spring with the third fastest time in school history at 3:52.26. His mark of 1:52.99 in the 800 in the fifth fastest in school history.
Orozco, who prepped at King City, will also run cross country next fall at Alaska-Anchorage, having been a member of the Panthers team that finished fifth at the state finals in 2016.
Orozco will be reunited in the spring with former Hartnell distance runners Jorge Sanchez and Justin Carrancho.
 Hartnell has become a pipeline to Alaska-Anchorage as Orozco is the fifth distance runner to receive a scholarship to run in the countries 49th state.
