The former Seaside High and Monterey Peninsula College basketball standout has started all nine game this winter for the Pacific Oregon men’s basketball team.
The 6-foot-2 Evans shares the team lead in steals with 12 and his third in assists with 18.
The senior is also averaging 8.1 points a game and 4.6 rebounds for the Boxers, who opened the season with eight straight wins before suffering their first loss.
Evans was The Herald’s Basketball Player of the Year in 2013 at Seaside. The multi-sport standout also started in football.
