Michael Carrizosa

Michael Carrizosa is averaging 44.4 yards a punt for the San Jose State football team this fall, slightly higher than his career school record average of 44.3.

The former walk-on and Palma graduate is also handling the kickoff duties this fall for San Jose State, enhancing his chances of earning an NFL tryout next year.
As a sophomore, the 225-pounder was a finalist for the Ray Guy Award after averaging a school record 47.5 yards a punt. Last year Carrizosa was 14th in the nation in punting at 44.3.
