King City-Sacred Heart Prep volleyball

Central Coast Section Division IV semifinals
Wednesday's match
No. 4 King City (26-3) vs. No. 1 Sacred Heart Prep, Atherton (23-7) at Scotts Valley, 5:30 p.m.
The Mustangs are in the semifinals for the first time since 2001 after upending defending Division IV champion Monte Vista Christian last Saturday.
Junior Grace Shepherd has recorded over 400 kills for King City, feeding of sets from Megan Flores and Cassidy Flores.
Stopping Cate Desler will be a priority for the Mustangs as the outside hitter has 532 kills this fall for Sacred Heart Prep. This is a dynamic front row as two more players have over 200 kills.
The Gators finished third in the West Bay Foothill division behind Menlo and Notre Dame-Belmont, yet still received the No. 1 seed over Notre Dame-Belmont.
King City needs a big game defensively from Nancy Andrade and Ana Mendez in the back row, as well as Delaney Carroll at the net.
King City comes into the match having rattled off 10 straight wins.
