CCA softball tryouts

Central Coast Athletics will be holding softball tryouts for its five age group travel teams Dec. 2 and 3 at Monterey Peninsula College.
 Ages 16-under and 18-under will go Dec. 2 from 9:30-11:30 a.m., 14-under from 12-2:30 p.m., and 12-under from 3-5:30 p.m. Tryouts for the 10-under team will be Dec. 3 from 9-11 a.m.
 Pitchers and catchers should report 30 minutes earlier for their respective age classes.
 In addition there will be free instruction and evaluation from 2008 Olympic pitcher Monica Abbott, former Tennessee All-American shortstop Lindsay Schutzler and Washington All-American Ali Aguilar.

 CCA is owned and directed by former Ohio State pitcher Kim Reeder, who has helped nine players earn softball scholarships in the last three months.
