Scotts Valley-Stevenson football

Saturday's game
Scotts Valley (5-3) at Stevenson (2-4), 2 p.m.
The Falcons were held without a touchdown last week for the first time since 2014, falling from the unbeaten ranks in the Mission Division.
After averaging 25 points a game in its first six games, Scotts Valley has scored just 10 points in its last two games -- both losses.
Stevenson has been held to six points or less in all four of its losses this year, having been outscored 63-0 in the first quarter in those four games.
More touches for Carson Spence might be in order for Scotts Valley, as the receiver has turned six of his 14 receptions into touchdowns.
Junior quarterback Alex Murray has shown flashes for Stevenson when protected, while rushing for two touchdowns in two of the teams last three games.
While the two teams have not faced each other since 2005, Scotts Valley is 4-0 lifetime against the Pirates, having outscored them 101-33.
