North County-Alisal football

Friday's game
North County (2-6) at Alisal (4-4), 7:30 p.m.
The Trojans control their path to a potential playoff appearance. Winning their final two games will assure them of no worse than a share of second place in the Pacific Division.
Alisal would hold all the tiebreakers based on wins over three teams that are in contention for second in the Pacific Division.
After an 0-3 start, the Trojans have won three of their last four games, with the double-overtime win at Christopher being a signature victory for the program.
You can make an argument that quarterback Andrew Marquez is having an MVP type season in the Pacific, having accounted for 18 touchdowns this year.
Marquez has produced over 1,500 passing and rushing yards for Alisal, with four of his touchdowns being 65 yards or longer.
Two of Alisal's wins have come against teams that had just one loss at the mid-point or further into the season.
North County's offensive struggles have been well documented, having scored just 35 points in six losses this fall. Quarterback Joseph Bertao has accounted for seven touchdowns.
