MTAL cross country

It will have no barring on the league championships.
But today's Mission Trail Athletic League Center Meet gives runners a chance to run at Toro Park before the league finals in two weeks.
It will also enable Pacific Grove and reigning two-time league boys champion Greenfield a chance to get reacquainted.
In the teams dual meet, the two schools ran to a tie, with Greenfield winning the meet based on its sixth runner finishing in front of the Breakers sixth runner.
Last year the Bruins defended their league title with a two-point win over Pacific Grove. Greenfield is ranked No. 8 overall in the CCS.
Pacific Grove has three of the top 10 runners in the MTAL, anchored by Henry Loh, Will Stefanou and Jake Alt.
The Bruins will counter with their depth, led by Rigo Garcia and Luis Meza.
Carmel appears to be the class of the MTAL in the girls division, having yet to drop a dual meet in league competition. It is ranked 13th in the CCS.
