The Panthers will be the heavy favorites to take home both the men's and women's team titles Friday at the Coast Conference cross country finals at Toro Park.
Ranked No. 1 in the state earlier this year, the women's program is coming off a second place finish at the Mt. Sac Invitational.
Arlene Diaz-Leal and Soledad grad Yvette Tavarez anchor the women's team, whose overall depth puts them in contention for a state championship.
The men have been led by former San Benito distance ace Ricky Esqueda, who took seventh at last week's Mt. Sac Invite. Hartnell finished second to the No. 1 ranked team in the state.
The Panthers are deep with Patrick Olson, Sergio Coronel, Jonathan Saldana and Christian Aldape all looking to crack the top 10.
MPC freshman Roman Munoz will challenge for supremacy.
