Trinity-Crystal Springs football

Friday's game
Trinity (1-3) at Crystal Springs (0-3), 3:30 p.m.
Prior to dropping football for one season in 2012, the Gryphons were one of the elite teams in the state in eight-man football, having gone a combined 19-3 over the course of three seasons.
It's been a struggle since its return in 2013, with just one winning season in the last four years. This fall Crystal Springs has been outscored 240-28 in three games -- including 92 in one game.
The Warriors are on the road for the fourth straight week, having dropped their last two games, both of which they either had the lead or were tied in the second half.
In fact, Trinity has lead in every game this season, but has been outscored 63-32 in the second half. Four turnovers in the first three quarters took the air out of its sails last week.
Despite playing with a broken hand, Christopher Wright is coming off a three-touchdown effort for the Warriors, giving him five on the season.
The turnovers Trinity's defense was creating in its first two games has vanished. The result has seen them give up 90 points in the last two games.
