Don't look at the Aztecs 0-2 start this fall as a negative.
After all Soledad dropped its first two games last year and ended up bringing home the school's first ever Central Coast Section divisional title.
So hold off on the eulogies.
Falling to Seaside and North Coast Section power Antioch is nothing to be ashamed about.
The fact that both those programs wanted to play the Aztecs is a compliment to the direction the program has taken in the last five years.
Soledad didn't dodge anybody with its non-league schedule.
Trust me the Aztecs won't go winless this year.
Are there things to fix?
Sure. Being more disciplined comes to mind.
Could the physical punishment Soledad absorbed in facing two bigger programs have an effect down the line?
I doubt it.
All the body parts are intact. Soledad won't face two better programs the rest of the season.
