Pacific Grove-San Lorenzo Valley football

Saturday's game
Pacific Grove (1-3) at San Lorenzo Valley (2-2), 2 p.m.
 After averaging 46.5 points in two lopsided wins to open the season, the Cougars have averaged 12.5 points in back-to-back losses.
 Both setbacks have been to teams outside the Central Coast Section, including a decision to Layton, Utah.
 The Breakers are struggling offensively, having managed just one touchdown in the last two games. The shutout last week was the first since 2010.
 Pacific Grove has struggled out the gates, having been outscored 28-6 in the first quarter. The second quarter has been a monster moment for the Cougars, who have outscored teams 69-6.
 Two quarterbacks have thrown for over 600 yards for San Lorenzo Valley, with Trent Walker having thrown for 348 yards and four touchdowns.
 Nate Lominario is forcing opposing defenses to pay attention to him, as the senior leads the Breakers in receptions, and has tossed a pair of touchdown passes.
