Matt Castaneda

Sophomore quarterback Matt Castaneda has thrown for 428 yards in two games for the Willamette University football team.
Salinas’ all-time single season record holder for passing yards and touchdowns, Castaneda is completing over 62 percent of his passes, having tossed four touchdowns. He has one interception in 75 attempts.
Castaneda, who threw for 139 yards on nine completions last year, is also proving to be a threat with his legs, having rushed for 42 yards and a touchdown for Willamette.
A teammate of Castaneda is former Stevenson defensive back Kendrick Pearson, who has three tackles and a pass breakup.
