Emilio Martinez has put his footprint on the University of San Diego football team in his first four games, leading the team in rushing and kickoff return average.
Martinez has rushed for 297 yards and a touchdown, averaging 4.2 yards each time he touches the ball. The freshman has also returned eight kickoffs of 209 yards, averaging 27 yards per return.
He has also caught three passes out of the backfield for 52 yards, giving him a team leading 568 all purpose yards.
The former Palma prodigy set the single-season school record and career record for rushing yards at Palma, and shattered the single season and career touchdown records last fall.
