Matt Castaneda

Sophomore quarterback Matt Castaneda was named the Willamette Student-Athlete of the Week for his performance against Rhodes.

Making his college first start at quarterback, Castaneda completed 24-of-35 for 281 yards and two touchdowns for the Bearcats. He also rushed for a touchdown, accounting for over 300 yards in offense.
Castaneda broke the Salinas single-season passing record for yards and touchdowns in 2015, throwing for 2,436 yards and 29 touchdowns.
